The Fortis Agilus Aspiring Doctors Program is aimed to provide financial assistance to students from disadvantaged families pursuing medical education, enabling them to focus on their academic and career goals without the strain of financial limitations.
Fortis Healthcare Limited is a leading integrated healthcare services provider in India. This program represents more than just financial support—it is a long-term investment in the future of healthcare in India.
Under this program, students studying at government colleges will receive financial assistance of up to INR 1,00,000 per year, covering their academic expenses.
Program Details
Applicants to the Fortis Agilus Aspiring Doctors Program must be Indian Citizens qualifying the below eligibilities

Academic Eligibility:
- Only Students pursuing MBBS Courses are Eligible For Scholarships
- First Year & Second Year students from a recognised Govt or semi-Govt college
- Applicants Are Expected To Have Passed Their Higher Secondary / Pre-University / Intermediate / CBSE/ISC Or Equivalent Board Qualifying Examination After 2023.
- Admission To Professional Degree Courses/Institutions Is Based On The Merit Rank Awarded At The State Or National Level Entrance Exams, Or Through A Counselling Process Conducted At The State Level.
Financial Eligibility:
Annual Family Income should be less than Rs. 3 lakhs
Note: Gross income refers to the income before deductions for taxes or other purposes.
In addition to gross family income, the education and occupation of parents as well as family members including an elder brother(s) and sister(s), the family’s living conditions, and the total expenses being incurred by the family on the applicant’s education will be taken into consideration for determining the financial eligibility of an applicant.
Applicants who are the first graduates of the family will be preferred over applicants who are the second or third child of the family taking up graduation.
Up to INR 1,00,000 per year for students pursuing MBBS, over four and a half years.
Note: Scholarship funds can only be utilised for academic expenses which include tuition fees, exam fees, books, hostel fees, food and seminars. If funds still remain, they will be used for stationery, online learning, and payment of internet/data pack bills.
Students can apply to the Fortis Agilus Aspiring Doctors Program through an online application form.
Once student eligibility is determined, students will be connected to one of FFE’s distributed network of volunteer “Facilitators” in 27 states. Facilitators will meet the prospective student and their family members, virtually, to determine the genuineness of need and financial hardship.
After verification of family background and academic credentials, students will be required to submit the application form online along with all supporting documents.
The Fortis Agilus Aspiring Doctors program is based on a reimbursement model as students would have already incurred expenses when they first apply for a scholarship.
FFE does not discriminate based on caste, creed or religion.
Applicants will be notified latest by January 31st, 2026. Scholarships will be awarded to the eligible scholars post-verification and selection. The selection will happen on a merit cum means basis. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Foundation for Excellence will process scholarship payments on behalf of Fortis and Agilus . Payments will be made in a single instalment before 31st March of each year.
