The program
Synopsys India Private Limited and FFE work towards empowering and educating students from less economically privileged backgrounds through their scholarship program. The program provides merit-cum-means scholarships to academically gifted Engineering students toward their professional education. This is under our broader umbrella of Educate to Empower CSR initiatives.
Under the FFE-Synopsys scholarship program, we are presently supporting 194 academically gifted students in need of financial assistance, to pursue BTech from some of the best institutes across Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Maharashtra. We are glad to make a difference in the lives of these students with the help of our volunteers and the extended community.
Applicants to the FFE – Synopsys Scholarship Program must be Indian Citizen qualifying the below eligibilities

- Only Students pursuing BE/BTech Courses are Eligible For Scholarships
- Only First-Year Applicants Beginning Their Studies In B.E., B.Tech
- Applicants Are Expected To Have Passed Their Higher Secondary / Pre-University / Intermediate / CBSE/ISC Or Equivalent Board Qualifying Examination After 2023.
- Admission To Professional Degree Courses/Institutions Is Based On The Merit Rank Awarded At The State Or National Level Entrance Exams, Or Through A Counselling Process Conducted At The State Level.
- Students studying in colleges across Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Telangana and Tamil Nadu are eligible for this scholarship.
- If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a scholarship award of INR 50,000/year until graduation.
- Awards are renewable each year until a bachelor’s degree is earned. Renewal is contingent upon the applicant continuing full-time enrolment in an eligible course of study at an accredited four-year college or university, maintaining a good standing with their university and continuation of the program by Synopsys.
- Along with the financial award, Synopsys will also provide mentorship, skill building opportunities, and networking opportunities.
- Awards are for undergraduate study only.
This FFE – Synopsys scholarship is available to all students, irrespective of the applicant’s caste, community or religion. The only eligibility criteria for the program are academic performance and family income. Selection of recipients is made by Foundation For Excellence.
In no instance does any officer or employee of Synopsys play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Students apply to FFE – Synopsys Scholarship Program through an online application form.
Once student eligibility is determined, students are connected to one of FFE’s distributed network of volunteer “Facilitators” in 27 states. Facilitators meet the prospective student or their family members, virtually, to determine the genuineness of need and financial hardship.
After verification of family background and academic credentials, students submit the application form online along with all supporting document and requirement for FFE – Synopsys Scholarship Program.
FFE does not discriminate based on caste, creed or religion.
Applicants will be notified latest by March 31st, 2026. Scholarship will be awarded to the eligible scholars post verification and selection. The selection will happen on a merit cum application basis. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Foundation for Excellence processes scholarship payments on behalf of Synopsys. Payments are made in one instalment before 31st March of each year.
