About the Programme
The FFE – SUN Mehta Education Foundation (USA) Scholarship Program is aimed at transforming the lives of academically talented yet financially disadvantaged students pursuing engineering at Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur. Beyond financial assistance, the scholarship offers a holistic development experience. Selected scholars gain access to skill development training and mentorship sessions by industry experts.
These “beyond scholarship” initiatives are aimed at ensuring the overall growth of students, preparing them to be industry-ready by the time they secure placements through campus recruitment.
Under this program, students entering their first year of BE/BTech at MNIT, Jaipur, will receive financial assistance of INR 1,00,000 per year, covering academic expenses for up to 4 years.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants to the FFE – SUN Mehta Education Foundation (USA) Scholarship Program must be Indian Citizen qualifying the below eligibilities

- Only Students pursuing BTech Courses from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur are Eligible For Scholarships
- Only First-Year Applicants Beginning their Studies In B.Tech
- Applicants Are Expected To Have Passed Their Higher Secondary / Pre-University / Intermediate / CBSE/ISC Or Equivalent Board Qualifying Examination in 2024, 2025 or 2026.
- Admission To Professional Degree Courses/Institutions Is Based On The Merit Rank Awarded at The State Or National Level Entrance Exams, Or Through A Counselling Process Conducted At The State Level.
Note: Diploma Students Admitted to B.Tech Courses On A Lateral Basis Students Are Not Eligible.
Annual Family Income should be less than Rs. 4 lakhs
Note: Gross income refers to the income before deductions for taxes or other purposes.
In addition to gross family income, the education and occupation of parents as well as family members including an elder brother(s) and sister(s), the family’s living conditions, and the total expenses being incurred by the family on the applicant’s education will be taken into consideration for determining the financial eligibility of an applicant.
Applicants who are the first graduates of the family will be preferred over applicants who are the second or third child of the family taking up graduation.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a scholarship award of INR 1,00,000/year until graduation.
Awards are renewable each year until a bachelor’s degree is earned. Renewal is contingent upon the applicant continuing full-time enrolment in a B.Tech degree at Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur maintaining a good standing with the insititute and continuation of the program by SUN Mehta Education Foundation (USA).
Along with the financial award, mentorship, skill building opportunities and networking opportunities will be provided.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
This scholarship is open to students enrolled in their first year at Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur. Preference is given to candidates from the Mewar region of Rajasthan, with special priority for graduates from schools in the Bhilwara district.
The primary selection criteria include academic excellence and demonstrated financial need. Selection of recipients is made by the Foundation for Excellence (FFE) and there is no discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, or religion.
Students apply to FFE – SUN Mehta Education Foundation (USA) Scholarship Program through an online application form.
Once student eligibility is determined, students are connected to one of FFE’s distributed network of volunteer “Facilitators”. Facilitators connect with the prospective student or their family members, virtually, to determine the genuineness of need and financial hardship.
After verification of family background and academic credentials, students submit the application form online along with all supporting document and requirement for FFE – SUN Mehta Education Foundation (USA) Scholarship Program.
FFE’ scholarship program is based on a reimbursement model as students have already incurred expenses when they first apply for a scholarship (1st Semester of College).
FFE does not discriminate based on caste, creed or religion
Notification
Applicants will be notified latest by January 31st, 2027. Scholarships will be awarded to the eligible scholars post-verification and selection. The selection will happen on a merit cum means basis. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Payment of Scholarship
Foundation for Excellence will process scholarship payments on behalf of SUN Mehta Education Foundation (USA). Payments are made in one instalment before 31st March of each year.
