Foundation for Excellence India Trust

In FY 2020-21, FFE awarded scholarships amounting to Rs 29.38 crores to 7498 students pursuing Engineering, Medicine, Law and BPharm degrees. 2422 new scholars were added to the Scholarship Program in this FY, the highest number to date.

In addition to awarding scholarships, FFE continued to strengthen its  ‘Wrap Around Program”:  the Skill Development (Soft skills and Technical skills) program and the Mentoring Program for FFE scholars with good enrolment in both. FFE also leveraged its corporate donor network to provide unique learning opportunities for all FFE’s scholars through virtual workshops, training and webinars. FFE is grateful to The Michael and Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF) and Capgemini for their generous grant, which has supported the structured training program for 6191 FFE scholars.

FFE’s In-House Mentoring program gained momentum with 400+ students being paired to mentors sharing their experiences and expertise with FFE mentees.

Amidst the pandemic, FFE hosted 11 Virtual Open House events and interacted with over 5000 stakeholders across India.

During 2020-21, FFE was recognized for its outstanding contribution to the gifted students from financially constrained backgrounds, as well as for good governance practices and demonstrating transparency as established by the awards won. The ‘Certificate for Desirable Norms’ received by FFE is the highest accreditation certificate awarded by Credibility Alliance to a voluntary organization. For the fourth consecutive year, FFE was also awarded the prestigious ‘Advanced Level – GuideStar India Gold Seal’ award for demonstrating transparency in the public domain.
