I am from lower middle class family as my parents are doing agriculture.
My facilitator, Mr. M N Hedge was my mathematics teacher in 12th standard. He was aware of the financial difficulties of our family and was also aware of my potential to do well in studies. He helped me immensely not only in getting the FFE scholarship, but also in guidance to choose engineering college and branch besides his excellent support during 12th standard studies.
With the timely help of FFE and many more people, it wasn't really tough to study well and do well in Engineering. Studying in a top college like RVCE and that too in a course like Computer Science, was always a great experience. I could get any study material or get a Computer for doing lab activities.
It would have been difficult to complete BE without FFE. Obviously fees were very high despite getting a merit seat and bank loans were not easy to get due to the complex laws. FFE's handsome scholarship amount was more or less enough for annual college fees. It helped me in focusing on studies rather than worrying about finance.
Thanks to FFE and many other people/trusts like the hostel where I stayed for near zero charges, rotary club e.t c., I did pretty decently in BE exams and got placed at HP (Hewlett Packard) during campus interviews. Currently I am working in HP as Senior System Engineer and I have been here for 5 years.
